Flaky pastries - savory or sweet; unexpected soups (the Thai Coconut Chicken was so satisfying after a hike around Mountain Lake - silky - divine), chocolate cake disguised as a muffin with a bit of crunch from the sanding sugar on top, I could go on and on. The Christmas packages of granola and savory nut meats were great treats for peeking out of Christmas morning stockings. Ham and cheese croissants make a nice lunch while going back to the mainland on the ferry. Each time I visit (once in each season) I try something different - never a disappointment.
